Join us on 19 November for a book talk by Lee Kai-chung to celebrate the publication of The [Im]possiblity of Art Archives: Theories and Experience in/from Asia (Simplifed Chinese. Shanghai: Kali Books, 2023).

Edited by Pan Lu and Lee, the book draws attention to the problematics of art archives in Asia.

Through navigating the practices of artists, curators and both independent and institutional archive-builders covered in the book, Lee’s talk will open up discussion about the dynamics and self-generative capacity of archives in and outside the art context while facing historical, cultural and geopolitical challenges.

Lee Kai-chung is an artist. He is the assistant editor and contributor of The [Im]possiblity of Art Archives: Theories and Experience in/from Asia.
